1) The Ramped container allows for all trade personnel to back trucks up onto the ramps of the container to easily wash out the bin of the pump truck. If you experience not enough clearance for your truck to clear the entrance of the container, there are grey extension ramps that can be moved up and down the first ramp giving the proper height to allow for a clear entrance into the container. Also always have the drivers check that the rod that holds the extension in place is properly inserted in the hole on the ramp to hold the extension ramp to the other affixed ramp.
2) Note: If there happens to be no extension ramps there to use please immediately speak to the supervisor on site or feel free to call us at 952-955-2412 so that we can accommodate that site with them.
3) There is a steel stair to help you step up onto the container’s side and walk onto the steel catwalk for easier access while rinsing out the shoot area.
4) Most of all the ramped containers have steel catwalks to provide for your ease of walking behind the truck to rinse out the pump.
5) Both the steel catwalk and steps can be easily moved back and forth on the container to where it best suits you on the container.
6) The rampless container has the ability to let two or even three ready mix trucks rinsing simultaneously. This is allowed if one truck backs up to each side and also to the back of the container. In the case you have a rampless container and have a pump truck that needs to empty and you did not properly plan for this, to have a ramped container brought in that day. By all means feel free to pile up a burm at the back of the rampless container which will give the pump truck the ability to back up to it without ramps and eliminate waste.
7) Each container has the ability to accept washout from 300-350 cubic yards of poured concrete.
8) Checking the container to see if it is in need of a vacuum or a swap out to totally dump the container is simply to take a metal bar or even a stick to place it into the container, which will then depend on how far it goes down to the bottom of the container, if the stick shows a lot of wetness the container needs to be vacuumed. If it shows very little wetness, you know that you will need to dump and you’ll want to call for the container to be swapped out.
9) When and if you come upon a container that is at the ¾ mark full we ask that you would call Neaton Brothers Concrete Washouts to get on the schedule to be emptied or vacuumed out. You can guestimate on the day you think you will be close to full figuring on how many yards you are pouring. So if you are pouring over a 1000 cyds. in the day you will either want to request a second container for that day or while you have heavier pours.
10) Secondly you’ll want to schedule to have your containers vacuumed every day while you are having heavier pours. Remembering you can only fit the pour of 300 or so cyds. of wastewater in the container. We are very understanding as everyone gets the hang of figuring out when to call or if you get to close and it might be an emergency call we will do everything we can to get you taken care of and emptied.
11) IF EVER A TANK IS COMPLETELY FULL TO THE POINT OF RUNNING OVER PLEASE CALL THE NUMBER ON THE SIDE OF THE TANK TO TAKE CARE OF THE MATTER. ALSO YOU MAY CALL KELLY @ 612-369-4931. WE MUST TRY TO AVOID THIS AT ALL COST!
12) PLEASE DO NOT ALLOW FOR LARGE PIECES OF CONCRETE TO PILE OVER THE CROSSBAR OF THE BACK GATE DOOR. IT WILL NOT PASS THROUGH THE GATE WHEN OPENED AT THE RECYCLING PIT.
